WHERE THERE IS NO VISION THE  PEOPLE PERISH...
                 (Father's blessings 2007)

An August 2006 vision became a reality in April 2007 when mission groups came from TN,
SC,  and NC to install three washers and three dryers, they did plumbing, electrical, concrete
paving, hung doors, and painting.

In
May 2007 Global Impact Celebration with FBC, Bluffton, SC was mission awareness.
Someone may ask; Where is the mission field? Imagine a sign reading “YOU ARE NOW
ENTERING THE MISSION FIELD” as you are leaving the church parking lot or departing your
home. I believe Paul was aware at all times…looking for opportunity to share the Good News.
(1 Cor. 9:22-23) Missions are a life style…sharing Jesus’ love with all people. The Freedom
Center people are blessed by the love of FBC…by sending the first washer and dryer units for
the laundry mat.

Freedom Center Ministries calls
June community month.
The teams are serving the Tri-City Community in several ways: mowing lawns, haircuts,
pedicures, (a lot of cutting going on; grass, hair, & nails) and foot washes/massages. These
acts of service are being done in the nursing home, elderly apartments, and at the FC. Also,
teams follow the litterbugs around town…picking up papers and stuff in the parks and out in
the streets. We are just getting started…after a rain we go into some of the buildings and
homes to empty buckets that have collected rainwater from the leaking roofs.

Our Lord Jesus’ love is reflected in our acts of service. As one serves on mission to expand the
Kingdom…ones life is changed forever.

Freedom Center Ministries “Back to School Week”
July 2007

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of God’s people, but is also
overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.”  2nd Corinthians 9:12

FCM thanks each of you for following the Holy Spirit’s guidance to serve and support financially
in this wonderful gift to God’s people in Eastern Kentucky.  “Back to School Week” was an
awesome blessing…first of all,
seven precious people prayed to receive Jesus Christ as
Savior and Lord. Hallelujah!!

Early Monday morning before 8:00 the line began to form down the sidewalk. The tent was up
and all the mission group volunteers were setting up for a 10:00 opening to share Jesus. They
entertained the children with balloon animals, games, snow cones and, hot dogs. They put out
tables for school supplies, backpacks, chairs for haircuts, tubs for the foot-washing, socks &
shoes, sorted and hung clothing, and prepared each station to receive and love on the
children. This service was prepared each day Monday through Friday with prayer and great
anticipation for our Father’s blessings.

Our Lord blessed 432 students and their parents/guardians with all these gifts that they could
not afford…but most of all He blessed them with the love that reflected Jesus through each
volunteer that served. As the volunteers prepared weeks and months ahead for this exciting
week their churches collected 500 pairs of new shoes, nearly 1,500 pairs of new underwear,
and 1,500 pairs of new socks. A few churches purchased new shorts and blue jeans. Several
churches donated financially with their VBS offerings and love offerings for new backpacks,
and shoes for the adults. (These will be provided to them in upcoming weeks.)

May our Father continue to bless each brother and sister that contributed their time, efforts,
monies, and love to God’s ministry in the Tri-city area of Eastern Kentucky. We could not have
done it without you…thank you for your faithfulness.

Churches throughout the Southeast get involved with "Christmas in
August" project.
Cumberland Elementary School has 750 students K through grade 8. Each student will receive
a shoe box gift for Christmas.

In
September the senior adults of Silverdale BC Chat.TN served by giving free haircuts and
doing nails. The RHBC Singles of Columbia, SC served in serveral projects: "MEALS TO GO"
evangelism with spagetti dinners...a twenty year old Joseph accepted Jesus as Savior and
Lord. Shared BIBLE STUDY and sorted clothes, painted missionary house.
